I was thinking of making a small wallhanging. Would it be advisable to spray my fabric to stiffen it up? I don't plan on having to wash it. What if I decide to put it away. If I leave spray in it will it eventually become a feast to moths?
Thanks!

I don't use anything.

I wouldn't use starch - I never use it.

I starch all of my fabric after I wash it so I wouldn't be much help. I personally would starch because I find it easier to accurately piece then. After it was finished, I would wash it one time then iron without starch.

I use Mary Ellens quilting starch...love it. I always starch after I finish a block. Gives it such a nice finish

I starch all of my fabrics for piecing, it helps keep the fabric from stretching. Bias pieces I use even more starch. You can always wash it after you make it and then it shouldn't be a problem.

I also starch my fabric for piecing. Makes a huge difference for me!

I vote with MNQuilter. Starch, cut, piece, quilt, wash, iron, hang. :)
