When you have a yard of fabric and are only going to use approximately a fq or half a yard of it would you starch it when you iron it before cutting? Or if you are only using so much of it would you cut what you need first then spray it?

I"d probably do it all at once, but don't know if that is thre right thing or not. Some others mentioned bugs going after the starch, but that hasn"t been a problem for me.

I usually starch all of my fabric before cutting, some heavier than others depending on whether there are curves or angled cuts. I have never had a problem with bugs in my stash, and I have a lot of fabric stored that has starch in it. I spray and let it dry before pressing, and then I don't get any flaking :wink:

WOW ! Ive never thought to starch before cutting !!! I need to cut a bunch of 3" strips, I will try this !!! Thanks friends !!
