I have on loan a singer machine, that I have for 2 weeks.
(it has to be back on the 16th)
I picked it up on sat, but as of last night haven't been able to get down to play around with it.
Finally last night I had a bit of time.
I have a valentine table runner that I need to put together (top, back, middle part)going to donate it to a tricky tray at my sons school.
I get everyting ready, pinning the layers together, as I am doing this, I say to myself " yes I am pinning this together right"

Sit down and sew it all together, cut off all the extra material, go to turn it. (I haven't done a binding yet, so this is the only way I know right now)
and guess what, I sewed it together wrong...
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
so now tonight I have a date with my seam ripper!
Step away from the machine!!!
I was so mad last night I coudn't have ripped it apart, it wouldn't have been a pretty site!
Better luck next time!
Looking forward to my date...NOT>>>

You are a stubborn woman like me! My hubbie just looked at his plate one night and smiled... then said "Honey, most people would give up after 2 or 3 tries"...... I haven't cooked a meal in years now!

You did the right thing.....STEP AWAY! Take a deep breath. When you are relaxed, try it again. We have all been there. It does get better

Couldn't help but snicker a little when I read this!

Stepping away from an uncooperative project is the best thing to do. I hope the ripping goes quickly for you.

I had my enchanted evening with Mr. Seam Ripper last night...ripped off the entire binding. Just didn't look right and my corners looked like crappola. Better morning, all is well, almost done with hand sewing part of binding. Good luck. It is a pain!!!

Gosh thought I was only one ever to need to rip it out. Sorry to hear you are having a hard time. Think of it this way...you are going to get so much practise ripping out the mistake...that you will become an expert at ripping it out.
