I was in Wal-Mart yesterday. Our store was renovated last summer and they greatly reduced the fabric section. I noticed that there seems to be a lot more fabric now and took a closer look to be sure.

A lot of the fabric was priced $9.97 a yard!!!! I can buy it for less at LQS. Have the prices been this high at WM or is this new?

The fleece has been pricey at my WM but the regular fabric has been under $6 a yard

I have found that prices will vary by region.

The prices at our Walmart - before they destashed it so they could renovate their store was $2.50 to about $7.00 - not sure about fleece -never looked at it.

Fleece is $4.44 for the better and $2.97 for some thin stuff. Other than some already pieced chenille/flannel baby quilt fabric, nothing is over $6. A lot of springy prints are $3.97. They vary in quality - some okay - some not so okay. So far our prices haven't changed or have changed very little.

Wow that seems high compared to what we pay in Western Kentucky. But having traveled in the northeast, it did seem most things were priced higher than here so it could be in par with other Walmarts in the area.

Wow, that is a high price for WM. The highest price in my WM for fabric is $5.97. Now I have seen the fleece for that price. Oh wait they do have upholestery fabric for almost 10 bucks.
