I have not done this in so long, but I remember doing stitch in the ditch with a regular foot and feeds up, is that correct?

Feeds up. I use a walking foot, but if your regular foot works, I'm sure you could use it.

I use my even feed (walking) foot with feed dogs up.

Thank you so much, I thought so, just having issues getting started

I have a clear 1/4 " foot that I use for SITD, if I remember to change it out. I don't have a walking foot. I have no idea what happened to it. I didn't find that it did any better job than using proper hand control, so I probably will not replace it.
Sew a few pieces of scrap together, and practice with your different feet and see what is best for you. |
Feed dogs up and regular foot.
I recently learned there is a SITD foot .... kind of like a regular foot, with a "plough" that goes into the ditch. Adjust your needle til you hit it bang on. I've done some practice runs and I think it's going to be just what I need for more evenness at SITD. |
Well I have gotten through one of the long sides, so at least I conquered the fear of it, thanks to you all.

Same here.
