I was just wondering how and where you store your seasonal wall hangings? I still have one hanging up from Christmas (!) because I don't know how to store it safely. Any suggestions?

On a spare bed under the spread/comforter

Rolled on a cardboard tube (like Xmas paper comes on) & wrapped in sheet or pillow cases, you then stand them in a closet.

I use batting tubes,maybe your local LAQ or quilt shop have them.
Also the tubes fishing rods come in are nice.

I use pant hangers and hang in a garment bag and that works good. The pants hangers will hold 5 wall hangings. Works pretty good for small quilts too.

I made a couple of covers out of muslin (like sleeves on your finished wall hanging, and I cut two small holes in the top of the sleeves to hang onto hooks) to fit over a piece of dowling, which I attach my quilting pieces with safety pins, until I get them completed.

I have two of these hanging in my sewing room - see pics attached.

Once I have completed an article that requires storage, I fold them in half lengthwise, and use a hanger that has clothespins attached, and cover with either a drycleaners plastic cover or cover with a body pillowcase or I have made a muslin bag to cover them - see pic attached for that as well.

I also have a couple of over the door hangers that I use in my sewing room for articles that I have ironed or ironing that hasn't been done. I have two of those hangers on those doors (one on each folding door, and a large piece of dowling which fits from one of those hangers across both doors to the other), and I fold those parts of my quilts that I'm working on - over the large dowl, in order I don't have to re-iron them.

I save the hangers that are plastic with the clothes pin attached. If you ask at Walmart when you buy pj's, shorts etc. they usually give them to you. I clip my table runners, wall hangings and such to them and hang in the spare bedroom closet.

Rolled around swimming "noodles" that have a piece of muslin wrapped and pinned around it first. I roll with front of wall hanging facing in (so you see the back when rolled) and secure with scrap bias fleece strips tied in a bow at the top, bottom and middle of tube. They are loose and will not make marks. If you wrap around an unprotected cardboard tube or piece, it can leech and stain from the acids in the cardboard.
