Completely new at this - so pls disregard any missteps. Love to quilt and made 3 last summer out of scraps leftover from children's togs, prom dresses, wedding gown etc. Now have received a supply of washable suede scraps in various colors. Made a throw pillow from some, but what to do with stash? Any suggestions? Thnks

SORRY, DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH FOR A patchwork quilt

Not quite enough scraps for a full size quilt, so what to use for borders, slashes, etc ?

What about wallets, and stuff along those lines? Multi colored make-up bags, purses, etc.

Welcome to the board. Is this real suede, made out of animal hide or is it ultra suede, the fabric that looks like suede on the top? Ultra suede can be a dream to applique, there is no fraying so no need to turn under edges or finish by machine, you can just hand applique it raw edge and leave it at that. And scraps are great for applique because you have all those odd size little pieces you can cut down into odder size littler applique pieces.

I would make stuffed bears etc

Book covers. I've made bikini's with real suede. Just have to remember to cut some small holes for drainage in the butt part or your bottoms will fill with water and it is not pretty. :lol: These wern't for me, but for a customer who insisted on having a deer suede bikini.

I saw this purse made in various shades of brown "ultra-suede" and would love to do one.
