Who has expertise to share? I am a coffee gal- my Mom was born in Brazil- but
I like to serve pots of tea, also. I guess I should make some quilted covers. With thinsulate?
Would love your advice. TY

I made on for my girlfriend, embroidered her monogram on front...used pattern from Embroidery Library.
I used Insulbrite (what you would use for potholders)....added a cute little tassle on the top. Would be happy to include a picture, but my computer deceided I didn't need the last 10 years of pictures, so it deleted them !!!!!:mad:

I don't think you have to use thinsulate...any batting should be fine for some insulation. Thank-you to those that have posted some patterns. My sister-in-law is a tea lover...I think I may make her a tea cozy for Christmas!

Just over a year ago I made a load of tea cosies using thermal curtain lining for the inner layer. It's cheap as chips, there's no need to quilt it, and it's stiff enough to make the tea cosy stand up (more or less) on its own.

Lots of experience with tea here! Drink it by the gallon. I was knitting tea cosies by the time I was eight. Great way to get experience knitting with two colours.
