Tee Shirt Quilt
Hey everyone......starting a tee shirt quilt for my daughter......and would like to know if anyone else has made one.........Ive watched some video's....and I havent seen anything that has caught my eye yet.....Iam looking for something that really looks like a quilt......meaning I just dont want to cut out the shirts fronts and sew a bunch of blocks together.....hoping I can find a pattern that maybe looks like a square and maybe some 2 inch pieces in that block like a log cabin block.....does that make sense?
Anyways any advice or help would be appreciated.....also pics of some if available....Thx Trish:) |

I also been thinking about making a T-shirt quilt and I found this site with 50 pictures. Some great ideas. Hope this helps! http://quilting.about.com/od/picture...-T-Shirt-Quilt |
you could cut the tshirt fronts to all of the same size - hopefully square. then you could alternate those with actual quilt blocks, like your log cabin blocks.

Thx for answering friends......when I find something that I like I will let you know.....Trish

You can do practically any type of block with tee shirts, but the most important process is stabilizing the shirts. Here is a memory tee shirt quilt for a friend of mine, her deceased husbands shirts. Sorry it's not a good picture, but you get the idea.

I made one for my sister-in-law last fall which was my first time making one. I made it in a snowball alternating with a nine patch pattern.

Actually it is NOT necessary to stabilize the T-shirts. I typically do not add interfacing unless the shirt is extremely flimsy.
