My Husqvarna Quilt Designer I broke down. I bought it used, have had it about 5 years now, and it did have problems when I got it. It was under warranty so I didn't have to pay for it.

The real problem was that where I bought the machine, the guy never fixed it right. It had something to do with the foot pedal. Finally, his tech said he was fixing it and it ran great for the last 3 years.

The othere day, it was not working right. I took it to a quilt shop that does repairs and they told me $272 to fix it! YIKES! I know this place is expensive, but I wanted it fixed right. She said it needed 3 parts replaces, the bobin case, the lift and something else. She "tried" selling me a new card for $70 and I said NO!

While I was at this quilt shop, I looked for good used machines. The cheapest they had was $3,500 for a USED machine! I said no! The fabric was expensive too so I didn't buy any. I hope I am not getting charged this much and it doesn't work right. I will ask for a 30 day warranty.

So, I am getting my machine fixed and calling it Merry Christmas to me!
