I have a new Ap for my iPad called "Block Fab" by Mary Podlecki. It has 50 different blocks and will calculate yardarge needed and cuts for you, for the block and the whole quilt. It will let you "combine" blocks - for example a small Carpenters Frame inside a large Carpenters Frame, or pair two blocks like Crossing Ohio with a 7 Grid Chain. It can even display in a few different colorways for ideas.

and ... it was FREE.

I'm happy :)

I bought an ITouch a few weeks ago. I downloaded that app too. Isn't it cool. I like how you can combine blocks and change the colors. It is a nice tool.

Be careful though there are alot of apps out there that are useless. I downloaded one that has 3 screens, one tells you how to do a setting triangle, one gives you bed sizes and the other is actually a piece of fabric with different lengths of stitches all equaling an inch with a pin on either side of the inch mark. I'm like, and the point of this app is what exactly?

Robert Kauffman has one where you can calculate backing fabric and a bunch of other stuff.

I like the Fabric Stash one. You can take a picture with your ITouch or Iphone of your fabric and enter it into your database with an inventory of how much, so when you go to the store you know what you already have. I buy duplicate fabric all the time thinking I don't have it.

Thanks so much for posting this!! I love the APP! If you you find any quilting mags for the iPad... Please let me know.
Thanks again! :-)

I downloaded a couple of quilting apps to my iPod touch, but don't ever use them. When I need to work something out, I head for the computer and my EQ instead! The stash one sounds good though.

There are several quilting apps for IPad, I have several, love them all.

IPad is made by Apple and is like a tablet, you can get on the internet with it, download books, keep photos on it, get on Itunes, and there are literally thousands of apps available for it, many of them are free. If you go to apple.com and click on IPAD, you can see video demos. I absolutely love love love mine.
