Today bought 100 yard roll of 48" wide poly batting which is
about 1/8" thick. Has anyone used this, possibly double or
triple layers ? Otherwise it could be used for table runners,
wallhangings only? Advice, please.
It was an exceptional buy!

I have doubled thin batting before and it worked just fine, I have used it with cotton batting too :D:D:D

I have doubled and even tripled batting before with no trouble. It would be great for baby quilts too, not so bulky.

I would love to have that much thin batting for all kinds of things :)

try using just one layer of it. that's the perfect loft for traditional quilts. i'll bet you enjoy working with it. :-)

That's as thin as Thermore, which is the only poly batting I've ever used.
It worked fine for a throw I made my Grandmother, where I didn't want it to be to heavy on her legs. It works fine if that's the effect you want. Also, I know it's often used for clothing, as it drapes very well.
But, heck, if you've got 100 yards, you could easily double it if you wanted more warmth. It still wouldn't be "heavy."
