All I know about Jones sewing machine is that it was the first sewing machine manufacture from the Old World. This girl looks so pretty! The owner says it works it just needs a belt. I will go see her today. He is asking 125. Does anyone know anything about these machines.

I know nothing about Jones..this is a beautiful cabinet - can't wait to see the machine.

Don't know much, but if you can afford to invest, I'd grap her and RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would pay and RUN before he changed his mind. I would just love to have it sitting in my house.

If it looks anything lime the pic, I'd buy it. Beautiful!

Have you been to the vintage sewing machine shop on the board? They have all kinds of great info. Here's the link

What a pretty machine!

Prism99 04-06-2011 07:42 AM

That's a great price for a machine and cabinet in that condition. I would take her home with me!

SuzyQ 04-06-2011 07:47 AM

I know nothing about vintage sewing machines but she's so pretty that I'd adopt her anyway.

It's a nice looking machine. You should adopt, and put her to work! :-D

quiltmaker 04-06-2011 12:58 PM

She is stunning.....I would run, not walk and grab her up as fast as I could!

pocoellie 04-06-2011 01:31 PM

I don't know anything about the machine, but it's a real beauty and so is the cabinet. I would get it in a heartbeat if I had the spare money and was closer. Try PMing Lostn51, he knows tons about the old treadles.
