When the bobbin ran out of thread I took it out of my Pfaff and I was brushing the bobbin area clean. I noticed a piece of thread caught between the two outer parts of the bobbin race (is that what it's called?).
When I turn the wheel these two metal rings go around....the thread is caught between them and I can't get it loose.
I tried to find a way to take it apart like I used to do when I had my old cheapie machine. But I can't find any screws to it, and it won't just pull off.
Does anyone know how to get this thread loose? I'm in the middle of alot of Xmas presents. I don't want to take it into be serviced right now. It's sewing OK BTW.
Thanks

try getting hold of it with tweezers then barely make the machine start. This works with my machine. It isn't a phaff tho.

That's a good idea. Hold it with tweezers or surgical hemostat and turn the hand wheel slowly.

Yes, I've had luck turning the wheel back and forth fairly quickly while pulling. Good luck!

Check your manual, I have a Pfaff and got mine out, but don't remember just how. The scary part was getting it back in!

I've spent a 1/2 hour with tweezers and turning the wheel by hand but it's still stuck in there.
I guess since it's not affecting the sewing I'll just leave it alone till I get done with my Xmas gifts then take it in for servicing.
thanks anyway.
How did the thread get in there anyway???
