I fell not too long ago, buy was lucky and did not hurt anything. I will be more careful in the future and hope you will be too.

Oh I'm so sorry. I had a similar fracture. When I was pulling a box on the floor and lost my balance and slammed my wrist on the floor. Ironically I was just a foot up from the ground. It goes to show you that you don't have to be high up to get hurt. Be well soon

Sound like you need a step ladder. Once I would have used a chair but nowadays I feel safer on the step ladder.
Sorry to hear you were injured.

Wishes for a speedy recovery! Take care of yourself. I bumped my rotary cutter last night so a bandaid did the trick but broken anything is the reason I don't get on a step stool of any sort. Take care.

Oh how frustrating!! DH is always talking to me about climbing on things -- I'm 5'2' and have been climbing on things to reach cupboards all my life. As if being short is not enough, I can't get on my knees any more. Fortunately when I redid my kitchen I put drawers instead of cupboards under the counters (except for the corners) and I am so happy.

In the be careful department -- if you have rug rat DGS or DGD, make sure any bottom drawers are either latched or emptied of anything dangerous before the babies come up. I had to do some quick emptying to keep the littlest one safe. If you have cupboards, make sure they are latched in some way. Fortunately the only problem now is washing everything that was left in the drawer.

My chair tipped over one time and my front teeth came down on the metal back of the chair so hard I thought surely I must've broken them off or busted my jaw. Neither happened but I was horribly bruised up & have not stood on a chair to do anything since! Get better soon so you can enjoy sewing again!
