tissues for pocket tissue holders

Thanks to inspiration on this board my daughter, who has never been very interested in sewing, just completed 32 tissue holders for a little sale her gardening club is having. My question is in regard to the tissues themselves. Have any of you found information on how to fold your own tissues from a big box rather than buying those little Kleenex packs?

No help with folding the regular Kleenex but my Dollar store stocks a couple of different brands with 10 in a package? I think they work out to about .10 cents each.

I have made the tissue covers square so the square pop up box tissues will fit it. For selling at craft shows, I sold everyone I made using the print tissues and made the cover to match the tissues. Those sold first and for a $1 more then the regular covers with white tissues. Craft buyers are an impulsive lot!

Which Dollar Store or is it called "Dollar Store"? There are so many of these stores with similiar names. I found the center opening tissue packs at Aldi's. 4 for 79 cents.

I call the stores with the big yellow sign Dollar stores, usually there is a dollar in the name. Family Dollar, General Dollar.

I've found them at the Dollar Tree.
I made a lot as favors at my DD wedding shower. Everyone loved them.

I don't have any left, they all sold. Just the same as the rectangle covers, I just made them square. The print tissues were for regular rectangle covers. I found the print tissue packs at Hallmark last year on sale.

Just cked, its on page two of the tuts, very quick and easy, you could prob use elastic if you dont hane ribbon, or even self made seam bias or tape. Great, easy tute.

I was in the Christmas Tree Shop this past wkend and remembered the post about these. I forget the price - think they were about $2.00 for 8. Remember thinking the cost was not too bad.

I bought them at Staple's for 8 for $1.00

Walmart has the small rectangle Kleenex 8 for $2.26. The Dollar Tree has them 8 for $1.00, but they are not as soft as Kleenex.

Could you tell me how to make the square one? I made the trifold and really like it.
