I am looking for a pattern to make a tote to hang on a wheelchair. The occupant in the chair has use of only one arm. Makes it hard to carry anything and direct the chair too. Have any of you made anything like this? I am not sure where to start. Where would it hang on the chair without being in the way? I have lots of thoughts and questions but few answers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Most of the time they are on the side, or on the back for safety. I would take measurements from the chair and make it if it were me.

I just made one for my daughter with a Simplicity pattern. It looks great.

I just made a big pocket and attached it to the wheel chair arm...the side without the controls...with two ribbons. I made it out of a cute fabric. It's about eight inches by eight inches.

I use to make them to fit the arm of the chair. If you put it so it hangs on the inside of chair it wont be in the way if she wheels herself around.
