Hi All,
I will be making a twin size quilt for a friend who lives in a very traditional log cabin home. The wall are wood beam with cement in between.... Lovely, but dark to my taste. He loves the very traditional colors ans style but he also wants it to brighten up the room with warm palette....I will be using double sawtooth pattern. Anyone have any suggestions as to designers or fabric lines that are a very traditional style? I thought it would be easier to find a line rather than pick out fabric myself.... Yes I am being lazy....Thanks folks! Ellen |
The Quilt in a Day website has some pretty 1930's reproduction fabric that I've been eyeing for a Dresden plate.

I don't know of a particular designer, but here's a question? The middle of the block is large enough to put a focus fabric i.e. animals or such there. Would he like to have say deers, bears, etc. as a focus? There are a lot of prints out there available like that and it would look really cool!!! :-D

I think that 1930's reproduction fabric would be good.

Bright Amish solids would look great, too.
