These guys at Quilt Pro just launched a Triangle Magic little program to print squares-to-triangles sheets, something similar to thangles.

oh please don't be afraid of triangles.
there is a magic way done here.. two squares rights side together, sew all four sides 1/4 in. cut corner to corner =4 sets of squares for pin wheels or what ever you want.. I did find a utube for this. easy ! could be for all kinds of stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekYpJzHoW6E |
I used thangles for years. this beats all !

I just purchased a cd form connecting threads Triangulations It has Quarter squares 3/4' to 7.5' in 1/8" increments, half square 1/2' to 7.5" in 1/16" increments tamed geese in 1/4" increments.

Maybe it's just me, but the Thangles don't leave any room for error. I'd rather make a little large and trim back. I seem to get a better result that way.

Triangulations is the BOMB:>

I like to use the method of printing a sheet of triangles and sewing them all at once. I have tried lots of methods and did contemplate getting the triangle magic program. I tried the quick method with two squares, but then all your seams are bias, and you are still not assured of the exact size you need. Then I discovered you can print out your triangles via online programs. Same thing as Triangulations, just a limit to the number of sizes, but for me every size I have needed was here.

I also prefer Triangulations! I just got the new version and it is truly fantastic fun!
