I've made a few, but never used a pattern. I either plan it out on graph paper or on the computer. Figure out how many prints I want to use, then how many squares of each I need.

I thought in the past I'd seen a book, maybe a Quilt in a Day with that pattern. Some of them strip piece, then cut into squares. I just started with squares.

Here's a couple of links:

Here are a couple you can purchase:
http://www.amazon.com/Trip-Around-Wo.../dp/0922705135
http://www.amazon.com/Trip-Around-Wo.../dp/B0016NP3S4
I don't have those specific ones, but have others from the authors that are very good.

Or were you looking for something free on the internet?

The first quilt I ever made was a trip around the world. I got the instructions from a book that I bought. The quiltville instructions someone posted are great, in my opinion, pretty much the same as mine except mine has a slight differece. More fabrics, and a narrow strip between each row... I like the way it makes the colours pop, and it makes for a rectangular quilt instead of square.

Also, make sure you read up on strip piecing. I was a complete noob and didn't have a clue about stip piecing, so I cut out each individual square and sewed them together one by one (ACK!) This was before I joined this site, lol!

Eleanor Burns demonstrated her Quick Trips method on her TV show yesterday. Her method seemed really easy and fast and the quilts were stunning. Here's a link to her site and her Quick Trips books. If you scroll down a little, it gives examples of all the projects in the book.
