Trip to Virginia

Just got back from visiting friends in Virginia - and did get to 2 quilt shops - Jinny Beyers studio and purchased a quilt kit for a Christmas quilt and bought more fabric at a small shop I think was in Dale City - would have loved to visit a lot of shops - but just wasn't time.

Thanks for sharing. My daughter is going to visit her best friend in Virginia this June and I think I will have her stop in these shops for me. I can't think of a better surprise for myself than letting my daughter pick out fabrics of her choice for my stash....or even better - a quilt for me!

You should let us know where she is going and then we can give you a list of some great shops along the way.

we will be traveling in Southern VA in June. Starting in SW corner and traveling East. Any recommendations of quilt shops, museums etc or other interesting sights to see. We will be attending a bluegrass concert in the SW over Memorial Day weekend and then spending about 2 weeks just wandering.
