So do I have a fold on the bottom pillow case and sew up the sides?

i make pillowcases from a free pattern i have a print out of. 27x41 is the measurement. then i think 12 inches of focus end fabric and an inserted one of 3 inches folded. the 41 or so is the fold that would go around the pillow. not 22. maybe they mean cutting 22 with the fabric folded.

I sew up the bottom and the side.The top of pillowcase will have the nice cuff already done.

so then the width is the width of the material? I put the fold to the side?

You have to show us you pillowcases.Sorry i had to go to town to pick up our car that was being worked on.

Go to allpeople quilt.com I make a ton of pillow cases. I have use lace edging for the 2" trim. I found a bargain in the garment district in Los Angeles.

Here is a simple pillowcase pattern. It's dimension are a little smaller but you can go with the ones on the Ytube.
Body of pillowcase is cut 27"with the fold on the bottom, then trim off the selvege on the top. Open the cut body and attache the cuff to the long side. Begin sewing case together at the cuff, reinforce your first stistches, continue down the side and then along the back and your case is done. I usually zig zag over the seams to keep pillowcase from fraying.
