I'm making a quilt for my dd for Christmas. The pattern she picked out gives material needed for twin. Hers will be a queen. How much more will be needed? What is the general rule?
Thanks for your help!

well Queen mattress is said to be at least 60x80, so almost double that of the twin.

I would double it to be safe.

Thanks! That's what I thought. Just needed it verified.

I agree - you will probably have some leftovers - but I'd rather have that than be short.

I think most queen mattresses are 60 x 80 and most twin mattresses 39 x 75 (the extra long twin is 39 x 80)

I would deffinatly double what you need and then with the leftovers you can make pillow shams or pillow cases. or some decorative pillows. just a thought. hehe. you can really dec out the bed.

That's a great idea. The extra could be added to your stash too.
