Twisted quilt block

With in the past year I saw a youtube video of someone making a block where the fabric is twisted and sewn to another and then turned to complete the block. I thought it was from The Missouri Star Quilt Company but I don't find it there videos. I believe that there was a book/pattern you could purchase. It was very unusual.

Thank You Jane100

Try googling twisted quilt block. I came up with many choices, but I don't know what the block that you are looking for looks like. Check out the sites and see if it leads you to what you are looking for.

I googles "twisted star quilt block" and got lots of sites with various patterns. You can probably find what you are looking for by doing the same. Good luck!

Toni I would be interested to see your progress with your layer cake and twister tool. I have both and am a bit reluctant to cut into the fabric in case I "stuff it up". I have looked at several sites but just cannot make a start.

Any suggestions etc that you could offer would be gratefully accepted.

I have the fabric and the 8" tool to make the large quilt and hope to get started this weekend. I also have the smaller ruler (3 1/2") and have made several table runners and placemats with that. Super fun. Easy instructions.,

I don't know if this is the style you are looking for, this was made using a 6" square and a 4-1/4" custom template. It is a little different, bacause of the white blocks between all the colors....

Just jump in there and go for it. I've made many "twister" quilts. Be aware there is some waste but I saved all the scraps for a scrappy quilt. Once you get the hang of it.....you will love it.

If you are going to be making a Twisted Pinwheel Quilt using the Twister Template.....my best advice to you is to keep your blocks in order. Either cut and leave in place or cut on put on planning board. .....otherwise you will spend HOUR AND HOURS AND HOURS.....trying to figure out the puzzle you are left with....Ask me how I know it took me weeks.....
