thanks everyone! i got a 1" bright pink border put on and will attempt to get the other on in the morning.
julie - how did you quilt yours? all over, around the flip flops, in the ditch? would love to see your picture! it's so easy to do. or e-mail it to me and i'll post it here for you! |
I hand-quilted an outline stitch around the flip-flops, and machine quilted in the ditch for the rest. I'll get the picture posted when my hubby gets home soon to help me. I have this fear that I will blow up the computer if he's not close by!

I think it looks great as a border.

thanks for looking out for me everyone! |
I thought, at first that you had purchased a kit because the fabrics look so good together!
There are so many different fabrics used now a days, I think its a matter of personal taste. |
oooh this quilt is making me wish my trip to Cuba was closer!!!

Have you gotten enough affirmations yet? It looks Mah-velous!!!
You use whatever fabric you like!!! Great choice! And I have seen this pattern finished with beads and ribbon trim popping out as the straps on the flip flops. Not really washable that way, but it sure was cute! |
