I would use it anyway. I've seen other material like that right off the bolt with the lines there and I'm betting they were there when you purchased it. I have a few pieces like it in printed also. Lot more in this world to worry about than a few lines. Maybe if you wash it again and don't use a color catcher and warmer water, the color will run into the lighter lines.

Or careful cutting? Perhaps the pattern you were planning, it won't make a difference by the time you get it all pieced/quilted?

red is so unpredictable, I feel your pain!

99.99% chance those lines were there, BEFORE prewashing. I've always prewashed and have never had the washing process cause a fold line. I have, however, bought quite a few fabrics with those lines already present. I usually check the fabric before having it cut . . . but sometimes forget and then find the lines, when I unfold the fabric for washing.

The cheaper fabric I buy has consistent colors. I would use it anyway.

I agree with using it anyway. By the time you cut it they would not be noticable and just give your fabric a bit more texture look.

As the others have said I would cut around the lines and use it anyway.

I would use it, it adds character. You are the only one who is going to know the difference anyway.

Oh those reds! I would probably use it anyway. But use it only if it doesn't bother you too much if it does, don't use it. Sometimes it doesn't get better with time.
