:roll: :roll: Don't know about this. I am not sure.Does anyone know if there is any way to get out stitch marks if you make a mistake and have to pull or rip out a row of them. I really don't think there is any way to erase those marks...but I could be wrong.

I wouldn't worry about it. Whenever that happens to me I find that once it's washed the fabric goes back the way it was.

You're talking about the holes, right? Just run your fingernail back and forth on the stitches...sometimes going north/south -- and change to east/west. It'll push the threads back in line. And BTW - I never RIP threads out --- too easy to tear the fabric.

I did that several times today and when I pressed the piece, the holes didn't show.

When you wash it or apply heat the holes just disappear.

One more thing...I wouldn't rip but unstitch gently to avoid any distortion.

Use a size 11 or 12 needle and change the needle oftener than you'd think and you won't leave holes. A quilting needle is sharper than a universal and does less damage, too.

The only fabric that I worry about are the white on white types of fabric. I have had concerns at times over those holes disappearing, the others "come out in the wash" :wink: :D:D:D

do not rip--use a thinner needle---water spray +iron--see i am an expert at somthing ---what is it they say you learn more from your mistakes--i have a honnors degree in un sewing!!!!

If the needle is making hoes in it, I would change the needle as suggested above, and maybe to a smaller size. Otherwise, PRESS!!
