I am looking for a photo of a log cabin variation where the light colored "logs" are narrower than the darker "logs." I have seen several, but now that I am trying to explain it to my sister I can't find any photos. Can anyone help?

I think I know what you are talking about. Is it a memory quilt with a picture in the center?
An aquaintance of mine has one. I would like to find a picture as well.
Although, at least I can look at hers and try to draw it.
Good luck finding it.

No, itis not a memory quilt, though I think I know what you are thinking about. It is made just like the traditional Log Cabin, but the light strips are narrower. I found the pattern on one of the free sites that just has block patterns, but there is no photograpgh of a completed quilt.

Our own Barnbum made her beautiful floral watercolor log cabin using narrower lights and wider florals.

It's just gorgeous, so I remembered exactly what you were talking about! It was already bookmarked on my computer. Note: she mentions Judy Martin. I have Judy Martin's log cabin book, but even though it has lots of great tips for log cabins and some beautiful patterns, this one isn't in there. So maybe it's in another book.

Elizajo, yes that is exactly what I was looking for. and you are correct, it is breath-taking. I am so glad you book marked it. I figured there was one on this message board somewhere but it would take days to look at all of the pictures and then I would end up going off on a tangant and forget what I was looking for. Anyway, thanks again.
