Some of you may or may not remember, but when I first joined this group my first post was because I was having problems with a walking foot that I had purchased for my sewing machine way back in November. Well, after all this time Singer has finally sent me a replacement foot as promised (after numerous emails and phone calls). Guess what! The new foot works like a dream....all the previous problems I was having are gone. I have since managed to fumble through my first quilt, a table runner, two pillow tops, and a cute little case to hold my small scissors. I am now started on my second quilt, and I have 3 more stacks for projects lined up. In addition to that my husband has now put in shelfs in a closet for me for the collection of materials that begun to take over the spare bedroom. Guess what? I'm hooked. :-D

Good for you! Your persistance has paid off. Nothing like the right tools to do the job!

Hurray!

I think your earlier post was one that I responded to because I was also having problems. I purchased a new foot and yes, everything was fine with it.

Then again, probably it was another member's post about WF problems.......but no matter........ I'm just glad it worked out for both of us.

nativetexan 02-12-2010 09:18 AM

isn't if funny how one foot may not work and another one will do fine?
i bought a circle attachment and tried and tried to get it on and it would just fit. turned out they had sold me one for a different machine!

Oklahoma Suzie 02-13-2010 05:34 AM

I'm so glad you got a new one that works.

Here are some pics of my projects. Not award winners, but I don't think they are to bad for a newbie.

I see you are a "scrappy quilter," too. Me--from necessity since being given all the scraps and unused yardages, from two elderly aunts and a MIL. It's use it or toss it--and who can toss good fabric?

brushandthimble 02-13-2010 02:45 PM

All are very nice, love the sissor case. I love doing scrappy, my all time favorite:)

ekbuckeye 02-13-2010 03:57 PM

As a newbie, you've done great work with triangles AND Dresden plates. Congratulations and I'm glad to see that you're hooked and enjoying quilting!

Marcia 02-13-2010 04:12 PM

Miss M---looks like you have just "gone to town" now that you have that new walking foot!!! Great projects!!

steelecg 02-13-2010 05:54 PM

I love the pics and am jealous about how much you have gotten done - I lived in nashville but didn't quilt in those days - You have done a terrific job - look forward to seeing more

scrappydoo 02-13-2010 06:09 PM

I love, love, love your scrappy quilt! I'm a scrapper too and really like your color combinations.

kjym 02-13-2010 07:20 PM

I think that you did a great job. I like the way that you did the back that's a great idea. kjym kathy

ToucanSam 02-14-2010 06:17 AM

Everything looks great and YAY for getting a good walking foot!

Having the right thing makes life a lot easier!!!!Keep up the good work!

mimee4 02-14-2010 06:40 AM

What a difference the right working walking foot has made in your life. You have done great work, newbie or not. Good for you for being persistent with the company that sold you a defective "foot". You are on your way to exquisite quilting.

littlehud 02-14-2010 10:52 AM

Isn't it a great feeling when you find out it wasn't you causing the problem. Have fun.

Debo 02-15-2010 10:20 AM

I love your work...especially the quilt.

Jingle 02-15-2010 10:56 AM

All your projects look very nice. Good luck with the walking foot.

Jody 38 02-15-2010 02:26 PM
