Good Afternoon,

Well I've been really busy trying to get my house in order, we purchased it last year and have been remodeling etc....anyway onto the sewing stuff. :)

Originally she was going to leave her 440QE machine at my place, but the quilt bug bit her and she has been doing a lot of sewing on her own at home. I was COMPLETELY floored when she came to me with my very own 430...we were taking a class and I kept having to skip parts cause I didn't have the stuff to go with her old Viking. So she got me the 430, because the embroidery unit and BSR from hers would work with it. And because she wanted me to be able to learn on it to help her out when she had questions.

I really didn't even know what to say, I was very touched and completely speechless.

Well I was thinking about getting us a frame, something we could use together with her BSR to do some machine quilting. Can anyone give me a suggestion of a good machine quilt frame that doesn't cost more than $600-$700 dollars?

I want to do something to "contribute" to our quilting endeavors. :)

Thanks for your suggestions.

WOW!! what a wonderful, generous thing to do!!
I don't know about frames, I don't have one for my Bernina. Someone on here should be able to help you!

I really like my Grace GMQ. It is easy to figure out, and it now comes with an upgraded carriage that can handle a little larger machine. I think you can get even a new one fairly reasonably if you look, and Grace Company is really great about helping you set up and answering questions. Good luck!

I just got the Grace Sturdy-lite. Let me tell you, it came in what seemed like a thousand pieces and at first I wanted to cry, but guess what? The instructions are IMPECCABLE. Very easy. Very user friendly. And, it's a very smooth frame to use. I dunno how much it would be separately, because I bought a machine with it, but it would HAVE to be within the range you stated.

I have a Grace frame too, and not as sturdy as the higher end frames, but it works fine, just don't nap on it.
