Like some of you others out there, I've been looking for quilt label "How To's" for making my own quilt labels. I haven't seen any info or suggestions so far on our board for using our EQ software to make labels.

Well, I just stumbled across some information on how to do just that. Here are some great links to help us:

For inspiration check out these labels made for a Challenge back in 2008 on the EQ site:

http://www.electricquilt.com/Albums/08/0806/0806p1.asp

For a PDF 2 page print out titled "Making Quilt Labels with EQ7", also from the doyoueq site:

http://www.doyoueq.com/MSEImg/images...elsWithEQ7.pdf

Here's a neat video from EQ on making labels:

If anyone out there has used their EQ software to make labels, I'd love to hear your comments, both pro and con.

Thanks so much,

I've been using EQ to make labels, first EQ6 and now EQ7. I put blocks around the edge of the label that are just like the blocks on the front of the quilt (but smaller), I sometimes add a picture of the person getting the quilt, and of course text saying when, where, who. Then print it out and attach it. It's easy to do and makes a nice label.

Thanks for your comments, dunster. Nice to hear you say it's easy because when I looked at the 2 page PDF directions I found, there's a LOT of steps to this process. Maybe after I do it a few times it'll get easier and faster.

Do you have a pic that you could share to show us what this looks like. Sounds lovely.

Thanks for sharing this. I've just purchased EQ7 and have started a notebook when I find stuff like this to have handy later on.
