Has anyone tried machine quilting with the minky poly fabric as a backing? I know some have tried polar fleece and I'm thinking minky would pose some of the same problems.

I made a quilt as you go project and it worked well. It would not do well with an overall quilt pattern as stitches get lost in the fluff and it really produces a lot of stuff. I am going to try a rag quilt with it backed in flannel. Good luck

I've made three quilts that have Minky backing. See the third picture in the below linked post and read the post where Minky questions are asked and answered. I don't do the quilting but my LAQ reports that it quilts just fine. I love it for the backing - it looks nice and feels wonderful. I do have to be careful when putting on the binding because the Minky is slippery. Just have to control it and stitch slowly.
