Using Minkie as backing

Has anyone used Minkie for backing on quilt. I quilt my quilts on my regular sewing machine. I was wondering if it is easy to use. I have used fleece and flannel but minkie is so soft. Thanks ahead of time for any advice.

I have, but only stitch in the ditch, no free motion. They turned out fine.

I do, I use spray baste and a walking foot and so mostly straight line quilting, I have no problems and no puckers.

Some versions of Minkee shed like crazy when you cut it, just to warn you. It's no big deal, but just prepare for a mess and maybe have your vacuum handy!

I use it all the time, but if you use basting spray wash asap. Basting spray bleeds onto the back and makes it sticky, no big deal...a quick wash is all you need. I love it so soft and warm. go for it...

Go to YouTube and look for videos for using minky. I watched some the other day that were very informative.

I've used minkie on tons of quilts, I was told that the "Stretch" needs to run side to side not top to bottom. My quilts turn out beautifully.

Have any of you quilted with minke on a longarm?

I made a baby quilt out of minke. It was different colored squares. I just outlined each square on the inside (I know there is a name for it but I can't think of it right now) about 1/4 inch from the seam of each square. Sorry, I didn't take a picture and already gave it to my niece. I didn't use batting, just backing that was minke also. I loved it and she did too. It sewed very well and I had no problems. Minke is so thick that the outlining showed well.
