Voyager 17

Wondering about the performance of Voyager 17 on Hinterberg frame. I have an opportunity to get a used one. I thought this machine would teach me a lot to see if I would make a step up at a future time. I know there are limitations but I can only buy what I can afford.

The Hinterberg Stretch Frame was made by the same company that made the Voyager so they were meant to go together. Make sure it is the "stretch" frame, though, not the original or you'll have to get an adapter kit. Big sturdy frame for a big sturdy machine.

I have the Voyager 17 and the Hinterberg stretch frame. Love them both:thumbup:

Me too!
I only have 2 concerns.
One would be the weight of the machine, it is 75 pounds. The carriage moves easy enough that it isn't a issue when quilting. But, I cannot lift it myself.
The other is the stitch regulator. I don't care for it. When quilting, when you come to a stop, like on the point of a star, it doesn't stop stitching...it just goes really slow.
But, over all I have used mine a lot since 2005 and have had very few problems. I just recently had some issues with thread getting caught in the bobbin area, but it was actually a tension thing, so user error.
