That's really the hard part... thread and zippers and other small notions needed to finish a project. None of the local stores carry any of that and it's a long trip to JoAnn's and such.

Other side of town. This was the Lithonia store, on Fairington Rd. Crazy layout for a WM. I had a hard time finding anything. They are usually pretty close to being the same, or mirror images. This one is scrambled.

I was in Breckenridge, TX 2 weeks ago and they had a FULL fabric dept. just like the old days, with a $1.50 table and everything...I could not believe it. I am not one to buy a lot of Wm fabric, but this place had some great kids fabrics to use for my YWCA pillow cases...and for only $2.50yd!
While at the table, I told the lady her dept was impressive and she said, just wait, they are going to bring back more in the next few months!

Now I know where I will go when I visit my sister down there. The Extension club ladies will just love getting fabrics at that price for all of our charity works!

Our Madison, GA store still has the same deals on good quality fabric. My girlfrin' and I stock up there every month or so. We cleaned out a good portion of their Spring inventory a few weeks back. Took the two cutters over an hour to measure (end of bolts) and cut our buggies full, and we were folding to save them time. Earlier this winter, we were in there loading up as a snow storm was approaching. (Recall that here in GA if they think it is going to snow the schools close. People were stocking up on bottled water, Coleman fuel and food goods, and there we were, stocking up on fabric. Naturally they wanted to know what we would do if we lost power. Oil lamps and treadle machines - just like in the old days. Only now, we use rotary cutters.
