I 'm planning to use Minkee for the back of a rag quilt and wondered if it might be better to use the walking foot when sewing the X's on the squares. I've read here about problems with Minkee stretching. Would a walking foot help?

Hi: I have made a few things using minkee and have used my walking foot. I just finished a couple of 12" baby blankies using flannel backed satin and minkee. They sewed up beautifully. I also made an Olivia the Pig quilt for my gd Olivia and backed it with minkee and used batting in between. I did not have a problem with it. I have sewn with the minkee on top and on the bottom and it did not make any difference. I did make sure that I pinned it well.

A walking foot will help. Pin it well and that helps too.

it must of just been me, i ended up pressing on some of the linen or woven stablizer on the back of a quilt using minkee. then i lightly quilted it.
it is still sitting, waiting on me to tackle the satin blanket binding. .been sitting for 2 weeks!

and yes, i would use a walker foot.
