Well, I was disappointed!!
My daughter and I made a trip to the new Walmart Super Center. What a disappointment.
First, there is only one drive, for both in and out, to the shopping complex that also has Sam's Club, Menards, Kohls, and others.
We set through 10 light changes to turn left into that drive (no green arrow for turning).
The $2.00 per yd was practically non-existant. The rest of what they had was just a mish-mash. I could not have begun to put together a palette of fabric for a quilt.
I asked the clerk if they had gotton any new fabric for the Grand Opening.
She was evasive, but then admitted they had just brought all that was left from the old store over to the new. The old store used to have a really good selection. I think they are just being sneaky about the fact that they really plan on phasing out the fabric dep't. I think they just don't want any more uproar about the closings.
Just my 2 cents,
Joyce

I'm new here but wanted to post and say that my sister works at a huge brand new walmart in Kentucky and they don't even have fabric.
My sister was told that it was the biggest walmart in the world excluding the China one. :(
I am so disappointed that they chose not to include fabric at all.
I shop at a smaller one in the southern part of Kentucky and they have a nice selection.
Gees! Hope it continues.

They are still determined to close our local WM fabric department. I asked today. First time ever I've gotten a snippy response from somebody working there. All the other fabric ladies are sweetie pies.
