I have not purchased batting for a while. Do you have an opinion as to why Warm & White would or would not be a preferred choice?

Take a look if warm and white is a poly blend.
If not, may be because it's bleached.

Compare the battings and see what you like best.

Agree!

Warm and natural ... actually has a 12 percent poly content.
I like both becasue they preshrink well ... when I want to preshrink. I use the white when there are white fabrics in the quilt.

I just bought some warm and natural. I have never used this before. How do you preshrink? Do you throw it in the washing machine and then in the dryer?

I use the washer on soak cycle. leave it in over night, spin then put in the dryer. Warm and natural takes a good long time to really saturate the fibers , so I soak over night. Not sure why but it almost wants to repel water when its first submerged. For smaller pieces like a crib size I use a sink.

Thanks, we have a front loader, so I will use the bathtub instead.

I only use warm and white if I have very light or white on my quilt, otherwise I use warm and natural.

If you pre shrink, just wet the batt. Do not agitate!!!!!
