I have some old hankies my mom gave me. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to wash them to get the yellow stains out? Will they even come out?? I would like to make my mom (she's 88) a quilt out of them. Thanks!

I would soak in OxyClean. I use this on all my vintage fabrics.

If they are all cotton, which I think they would be, try an overnight soak in BIZ. I have soaked many old linens with good results.

In another topic, someone mentioned a product made just for brightening up old linens...
I want to say it was one of Pittsburgh Pam's recent topics :D:D:D
