We've been buying our ink replacements at Staples, give them our empty ones and get a coupon for use on anything we buy there. So far we've saved about half the cost of replacements by using the coupons but am going to bookmark the site you've used and future use.

Thanks! Just placed my order! Was using Inkgard.com which is similar and gives you a little software program so that you can set your ink usage for a particular job to minimum up to high density.

I wouls love to use them, but I print a lot on fabric and the one time I bought the refilled cartridges and printed on fabric, the color washed out. Had to go buy full price, now I am a little timid about buying the refilled cartridges.

When my old printer died I purchased a Kodak 3-in-1, easy share. The b/w is 9.98 and color is 12.98. I'd rather not mess with refilled cartridges any more. But that is good advice for those who do.

At home I go to the recycle shop...but at work...we just got a NEW...not really, but new to us photocopier that does everything except make beds....if we use the recycled cartridges.....YUP.... our warranty is NULLED OUT>>>>> is that a word? anyway.... I will continue to buy and support our recycle people in town for my own person use.

Ink is one thing that has never come down in price like the printers and computers....

Last time I bought ink cartridges I notied that the prices had dropped a bit. But what they use to charge was way to high.

I found this place online Compandsave.com I am the consumate skeptic - read all the reviews - decided that for $25.00 for a set of 10 cartridges (in my case it was 2 of each color and 4 black) - worst case I would have to send them back with a nasty letter. My printer ran out of Magenta and I ordered online. They came in fairly quickly (can't remember how long) and I carefully put it in. The entire time praying it wasn't going to break and spill ink all over everything. Oh yes, I can imagine the worst case scenario every time. It worked! I started printing (holding my breath) - wow nice! Didn't dry quite as quick but works. Have since changed, yellow and cyan. Still ticking right along. Just wanted to give you all a heads up. With the economy the way it is now, we all need to save. I'm sure they're probably made overseas, but right now, I need to save the money I can't save the economy by buying from Brother right now, although I'd like to. Give those online ink suppliers a try - it's saving me a bundle. (Now, it may print less - but so far so good and they say it prints the same quantity) And NO, I have absolutely no affiliation with anybody that sells ink. My son worked for an ink cartridge place that refills them for you..and they always had to tell customers that! |
