have we heard of over-pinners ?
omgosh I have a pin every inch with my seams to make sure they are all straight. Is this normal ? Do we out grow the need to over pin as time goes on ? |
You're NOT ALONE! In my quest for the perfect 1/4" seam, I've begun to pin everything in sight. Saves me from having to fuss with slipping fabric while I'm sewing. My pincushion has become a close personal friend. Heck, I even pinned a bag of chips closed when I couldn't find a clip.

It depends on the pattern for me. I know a couple of people who don't pin at all, and do beautiful quilts.

I pin only when sewing long rows of blocks together....hardly ever when piecing a block. I've been told I have very nimble fingers that stretch to hold 2 6 inch pieces of fabric together!!

I pin a lot!

Depends on the time of day and how tired I am. Few early in the day, more and more as the day moves on!

Don't use pins much~

depends on how many seams & how much I have to worry about the underneath seams getting all skrunched up with the feed dogs.......
