Here's what squares I had and blocks all sewn together now I just have to find some fabrics to put with it as it's only 47" x 67.5" so far. What do you think? I think it's so pretty and I love scrappy quilts!

QuiltnNan 03-06-2012 04:44 AM

My daughter is making her first quilt like this. Using 3 In squares, but the problem is that I was not watching her close enough and her seams are all wonky so now she has to take them apart. She became discouraged and now won't work on it. I have plenty of material for her to cut up since all I have is scraps in my stash. yours looks amazing, keep up the good work. Beth

Love the combination of fabrics!

klarina 03-06-2012 09:12 AM

I have one like that myself, (around 25 blocks ) waiting to be put together. Seeing yours is inspiring. I think I need to unearth this UFO and start woking on it.

Congrats on your scrappy quilt.

Sandra in Minnesota 03-06-2012 09:43 AM

I love scrappies also. Great job and keep up the good work!

pls1946 03-06-2012 09:53 AM

That is the quilt I like to be scrappy....like a utility quilt that my Grandma would have made.

cjsews 03-06-2012 10:31 AM

Very Nice. This is a great lap size. Scrappy is my new favorite pattern. Great way to use what I have but still find the urge to buy more.

pacquilter 03-06-2012 10:35 AM

Really nice! Aren't scrappies a great way to use up all those little pieces of fabric!

Ruby the Quilter 03-06-2012 11:04 AM

What a nice scrappy quilt. Maybe an inner and outer border would make it the size you need. Post a picture when you finish.

Jingle 03-06-2012 11:04 AM

Very pretty. I have been making quilts with my scraps, just finished one with spring looking scraps. I just need to post the pictures.

sandybuttons 03-06-2012 04:02 PM

Love it :)

JenniePenny 03-06-2012 04:09 PM

How about a narrow inner border of white/ cream to tie it all together, then we can help you decide on what color for an outer border? Love scrappy quilts.

EllieGirl 03-06-2012 04:49 PM

It looks great!! I'm keeping all of my scraps so I can make a scrappy quilt!

LadyElisabeth 03-06-2012 05:47 PM

An excellent was to use up those small amounts of fabric left over from other projects.

luce321 03-06-2012 05:51 PM

I think it looks great. I love scrappy quilts too.

lovequilts722 03-06-2012 05:53 PM

#1piecemaker 03-07-2012 03:48 AM

Looks great! Keep it growing!

quiltymom 03-07-2012 03:50 AM

Sew nice scrappies are my favorite!!

sewNso 03-07-2012 03:59 AM

nice. a couple borders will enlarge it, if you want.

faykilgore 03-07-2012 04:08 AM

Great piecing and I really like how you arranged the scraps in four-patches rather than just random scatter. A narrow binding and a pieced border would look awesome to complete it, or you could just keep adding scraps until it is the size you want then bind it.

stchenfool 03-07-2012 05:01 AM

Love it! What a great way to use up your scraps! With the price of fabrics these days every "piece" counts!

lubberfarmgirl 03-07-2012 05:16 AM

I love scrappy quilts!

roadrunr 03-07-2012 05:22 AM

Looking good to me and it will be goregeous once you are finished with it. I'm sure you'll be able to find a home for it. And I agree, with the price of fabric now a days, one has to use up all the scraps.

sewred 03-07-2012 05:47 AM

Wow, thanks everybody for the encouragement! I want it to be queen size to go on our bed! It reminds me of a quilt my grandma bought ( that I have in a storage tub) that is made with all kinds of stretchy fabrics and tied with yarn!

matraina 03-07-2012 06:23 AM

I love it..
