What is your definition of a "blender"?
a solid or one that reads as a solid to blend the other fabrics together/ something that cooridinates with the focus fabric
I am not sure of the exact definition of blender, but, to me it is a color that blends into the other colors you are using
example: If you have pink, red, yellow roses and wanted another color, you would call on a blender, something with pinkish tones, redish, yellowish. I purchased a blue blender for what I am going to be doing. I can best explain it to be like 2 or 3 shades of blue this is an example http://www.craftandfabriclinks.com/s...ed_fabric.html |
I'm bad about blenders, every time I build my stash, I come home with the patterns/florals/paisleys/calicos I love. When I plan a quilt, I always have to buy blenders.
I think of blenders as single colored, but not solid colored fabric - kind of mottled. Some with a little contrast and some with a little more. I love them - it's hard for me to buy solids if I can find a blender that'll work.
