what is 30's reproduction fabric
Curious as to what qualifies something as a 30's reproduction fabric. I am in a block swap where I need some. I will order something online, but am wondering if anyone can share the definition with me. Thanks in advance.

Fabrics with typical colors and patterns used in the 1930s. Includes "bubble gum pink" and "celery green". Here is a link to a sampling of some typical green fabrics:

Here is some more to give you ideas.
http://www.windhamfabrics.net/cgi-bi...i?Category=445 http://www.quilterswarehouse.com/c-10-fqaunt.aspx http://www.keepsakequilting.com/prod...1930's.htm I just put these up because there are several pictures on each page to give you a feel for what you are looking for. I'm not saying these are the only ones out there or that these are the best places to order from. Once you get a good idea of what you need, you can often find things that will work at a LQS or even Joann's. Good luck! |
Thanks everyone! Hilary, your work is beautiful.
