What batting do you like?

my friends and i have a little quilting group and we were thinking about purchasing batting on line, in large quantity and splitting the cost. do you have preferences as to what batting works generally best for most quilting. we are not making baby quilts. mostly lap size, table runners. once in a while a bed quilt. i like the quilters dream. was wondering what others thought of it, or if there was something that works better for you. would like your opinions. thank you!

It would be interesting to see what is the best deal and is buying in bulk really a big savings. Batting is getting just to expensive

I really like Warm and Natural and have been a recent convert to Warm and White now that I know there isn't any difference in them except the color!

I use mostly Warm and Natural ( or White) the other I really like is Hobbs 80/20.

just remember when buying in BULK you have to pay a HUGE shipping bill. Most places only "drop ship" batting now and UPS charges an over size charge for Rolls!

Quilter's Choice 80/20 has worked well in my last few quilts. I do preshrink it as I'm the one who isn't a big fan of the crinkled look in my quilts. Soft, clings to the quilt when sandwiching and easy to handle while FMQ. Works for me.

Edit to add: For table runners and place mats, I like Pellon fleece interfacing - not fusible.

I love Hobbs 80/20 fusible. Have used it on a double sized quilt and found it so easy to work with and no pins! Treated myself to a roll before Christmas.

I like the Quilter's Dream batting. Also, Hobbs 80/20.

I use warm and natural. When Joanns has their half off sale buy the bolt from them so you don't have to pay shipping costs!!!!.
