I recently saw a class for corn hole bags. I was looking for fabric for my church to do a Relay For Life.

Corn hole is a game that uses fabric bags filled with dried corn (a pound? I dunno) and there's a board w/a hole in the middle. It's like beanbags, there's a point system.

Thank you and I think I will interest my church members to make them for our Relay as we are the Plantersville Team.

The game is huge in Afghanistan. I make them for the troops.

I know it must be a specific size and weight for "official" tournaments, but just for fun probably not. I've seen that somewhere onthe web but don't remember where. Never mind found it!

Game is big here in WI for tailgating.
Sew the seams twice at least! The bags get rough treatment. |
Thanks all, and I believe it will be a good game for ACS and other projects that I have.

Bags measure 5x5" & are suppose to be filled with the beans you use to make split pea soup, suppose to weigh between,14-16 ounce.I just finished 16 for a league & that is the measurements & they supplied fabric & peas. It's tough to get all them peas in them.mine would only hold 14-15 ounces.

This is straight off that link. I am going to make my son some for Christmas with 49'er fabric. Hope I can find some!
The corn bags shall be made from two fabric squares with a quarter inch double stitched seam on all four sides. The corn bags should be made from 12 oz / sq yd duck canvas and may be any color that is easy to see during Cornhole play. Each bag shall be filled with approximately 2 cups of corn feed and finished bags should be a minimum of 6" X 6" square and weigh between 14 and 16 ounces. |
Great and I have found enthusiasts here.
