What to do, what to do?

I won 20 blocks in contest at my guild. I have squared them all up to 10 inches. My question is, what color would you make the sashing strips. These blocks are all different colors from purple to black and white to orange, etc... I was thinking black. What do you think? Thanks,Gina:o

Black usually sets off multi coloured blocks well. If the blocks were all pastels though, I might use white or grey instead?

I usually use black to bring out all the beautiful colors.

I agree, black is very striking with multi bright colors

Thanks, ladies. That's what I was thinking as well. Most of the blocks have white on them, so it would be very pretty next to the black.

I try to pick out a color that isn't in the blocks.

How about using multicolored polka dots (using the same colors in the blocks) on a black background?

Lots of good suggestions - I would probably go with the black also. Post a picture when you are done.
