I am new to the board and although this is not strictly a quilting question, I would like to know if there is a board glossary. Such things as DH have me baffled. What do these abbreviations mean?

DH = Dear Husband or Darling Husband
DD = Darling Daughter DS = Darling son DGS = Darling grandson DGD - Darling grand daughter DDIL = Darling daughter in law and so on... Some others are 'shortcuts' for phrases used when texting. Like "LOL" = laugh out loud ROFLAO - Rolling on the floor laughing my *ss off I'm still figuring them out because I'm don't do much texting. |
I always thought it was darn husband until I saw the "d" applied to grandchildren and figured it couldn't be that. My friends all call our husbands "the man" or "my man", but when I did that at work, someone said she was shocked that I'd "live together" ! Was so funny, 'cause I'm SO married. Have a permanent divot in my ring finger.

Every guy in the room turned from what they were doing to answer me! |

Jade I was up until 12:30 watching the snow fall and completely disappointed to find the streets clear in the morning. It just isn't right when Mother Nature gets you all pysched for a snow day and then dashes your hopes.
