Hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of white board was used in this material folding tutorial.

and where one could find it.

Thanks Bunches

It looks to me as if those are foam core boards -- very light and widely available in places like Walmart, Target, etc. They would likely be in the school products area where posterboard and paper are sold. The boards are about a quarter-inch thick with white paper on both sides. They also come in black.

Just be aware that the paper on these would not be acid-free (archival quality). If using them to store fabric, you might want to coat them with polyurethane.

Looks like coroplast or foam core....most craft/hobby stores have it...some home improvement places carry it also.

she says it's sign board, I guess the waxy corrigated stuff that politians use, I'm sure the foam core would work

They look like the coroplast boards. There's a lady on the board that sells them already cut for a reasonable price.

Here's her topic,

I really like the coroplast boards. They're really light weight and they're acid free.

I bought the foam boards (like poster board, but it's foam) at the Dollar Tree so they werw only $1 each and I got around 20 small boards from 1 board.

It is coroplast (like the sign making board realtors use). In that post http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-43871-1.htm she describes where to get it, how to cut it, etc. Only downside is there are 27 pages to that post.

I use comic book boards. They're a different size, yet still acid free. And much, much cheaper. And still looks nice:

These are coroplast boards, you can buy them online or I called local sign shops and purchased a bunch of them from them, brought them home and cut them into the needed sizes, it took a little while, but I work very hard for my $ and need to save money, a 20x18 sheet came out to around $1.35 each

At Home depot they are called Coroplast made by Plaskolite they are a company out of Columbus Ohio.

Thank you very much for the information as well as the recent post for the cost of making 48 boards.
