my fw has been sewing perfectly until I had to rewind the bobbin again. Now the upper thread breaks. I can see a piece of thread behind the bobbin and case. I don't know how to take it apart and remove the thread any suggestions?

Pipe cleaners should work. If that doesn't, time for a trip to the shop unless you have the repair book.

It's pretty easy to take that bobbin assembly out for cleaning. However, you have to know how to put it back in. There may be some online diagrams and explanations on how to do this; it's not difficult.

Can you get ahold of the thread with your fingers or an instrument like a tweezer and then gently hand turn the hand wheel? Many times that will free up threads in the bobbin area. Lots of luck!

If it's your upper thread creating the problem, I highly recommend dental flosss. I read somewhere about unwaxed but I used waxed recently with great success. Lower threading - vaccuum??????

You should invest in this book:

I had the same problem and took off the needle plate to clean it out. Each time I thought I had it back together, it wouldn't form a stitch. Never thought I'd need a book for such a task, but I would have never gotten it back together without the book. It already saved me a bundle because I would have had to take it somewhere to be fixed.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered the book from amazon. I want to know everything there is about my fw.

Thanks I did find a post from Lostn51 with photo's about taking them apart but it didn't cover the bobbin shuttle. I was afraid to take it apart for fear I couldn't get it back together. So I ordered the book from amazon.
